Södersten developing mini-series for Swedish TV

7/10/10 - Mikael Södersten has been named Dramaturg by SVT (Swedish TV) for a four-part mini-series dramatizing the life of Ingmar Bergman. Writer: Bestselling novelist Henning Mankell. Director: Oscar-nominated Susanne Bier.

The Initiation a feature film inspired by a true story, is now in pre-production.

Debbi (2:30 min), an experimental short film about the perversion of power comments indirectly on current US foreigh policy.

The Other Woman has had over a dozen screenings internationally, including the Avignon Film Festival in France, the Befilm Underground Film Festival, and New Filmmakers in New York. It premiered at a special screening at the National Arts Club on March 6, 2007.

White Man’s Blues a short film that comments slyly on the Swedish male mind, has screened at the Fort Lauderdale Int'l Film Festival, the Queens Int'l Film Festival, and the New Filmmakers Best Short Films Series.
